Generic installation instructions for adding the Lead Extract tracking pixel to any website platform.

We support every website platform. If your platform isn't listed in our specific guides, follow these generic instructions. The installation process is similar to installing Google Analytics.

Get Your Tracking Code

Log in to your Lead Extract dashboard
Go to the tracking pixel installation page
Click Other
Copy your unique tracking code

General Installation Instructions

The tracking code needs to be added to the <head> section of your website, just before the closing </head> tag. This ensures it loads on every page.

Steps:

Access your website's code - This might be through a CMS, theme editor, or FTP access
Find the header file - Look for files like header.php, header.html, index.html, or your theme's main template file
Locate the </head> tag
Paste the tracking code just before </head>
Save and publish your changes

Common Platform Features

Most website platforms have one of these features for adding custom code:

Custom Code / Code Injection - Look in Settings or Advanced Settings
Header Scripts - Often found in SEO or Design settings
Theme Editor - For editing template files directly
Plugins/Extensions - Some platforms have header/footer plugins available

Your developer will receive an email with the tracking code and instructions. They'll know exactly how to install it on your specific platform.

Verifying Installation

Check page source - Visit your website, right-click and select View Page Source. Search for "leadextract" to confirm the code is present in the <head> section.
Wait for traffic data - Once confirmed, give it a couple of hours to start picking up traffic. Visitor data appears after sessions are completed.

Note: We automatically exclude your own IP address from tracking to avoid noise in your data. Don't expect to see yourself in the results - this is intentional and ensures you only see genuine visitor data.
