Getting Started

A step-by-step guide to setting up your Lead Extract account and identifying your first website visitors.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to do to start identifying website visitors with Lead Extract. Follow these steps in order to get up and running quickly.

Step 1: Create Your Account

The first step is creating your Lead Extract account. Visit our website and click the Sign Up button. You'll need to provide your name, email address, password, company name, and the website URL you want to track.

After completing the registration form, click Create Account. You'll be automatically logged in and taken to the welcome screen.

Step 2: Install the Tracking Pixel

To start identifying visitors, you need to add our tracking code to your website. After creating your account, you'll see the welcome screen with your unique tracking code. Copy this code and paste it into the <head> section of your website, just before the closing </head> tag.

The tracking pixel is a small piece of JavaScript that runs on your website and identifies company visitors. It's lightweight and won't affect your site's performance.

Step 3: Complete the Onboarding

After installing the tracking pixel, you'll be guided through a brief onboarding process. This helps you set up the essential features and understand how Lead Extract works.

The onboarding will introduce you to:

  • The Reveal Dashboard - Where you'll view your identified visitors

  • Lead Scoring - How to set up your ideal customer profile

  • Automations - How to automatically send leads to your CRM

You can skip the onboarding and explore on your own, or complete it to get a comprehensive overview of the platform.

Step 4: View Your First Leads

Once your tracking pixel is installed, Lead Extract will start identifying companies that visit your website. This usually happens within minutes of installation. Your first identified visitors will appear in the Reveal dashboard.

Each visitor appears as a row showing company name, industry, size, location, pages visited, and a lead score. You can click on any visitor to see more detailed information including contact suggestions and their complete activity timeline.
